Prior to his role as CEO and through April 2022, Akylbek served as USM’s First Deputy General Director and Executive Director. He also held the position of USM Deputy General Director for Financial Planning, Control, and Internal Audit, as well as Director for Internal Audit and Strategic Projects from July 2020 to August 2021.

Oksana Gorshkova has been an integral part of USM since its inception in 2012, serving in various roles in administration and operations, and as managing director at USM Telecom and other businesses within the group.

USM’s portfolio includes Metalloinvest, Udokan Copper and MegaFon, Russia’s second-largest mobile telephone operator. Alisher Usmanov, who is ranked on the 123rd place in the Forbes billionaire’s list, is USM’s principal shareholder.
